Meeting our future energy needs lies in advancing alternative energy sources today, according to David Suzuki. In a recent Nanaimo Bulletin article Suzuki endorses renewable energy as a “necessary,” avenue to pursue if we are to meet and sustain our growing energy requirements globally. He further discusses renewable energy as a source that will not run out, and cause the same kinds of environmental problems as non-renewable sources. In order to expedite this shift however, Suzuki believes a global shift in attitude needs to happen and cites countries like Denmark and Germany as leaders in advancing renewable technologies.
