Development Projects
Syntaris Power has identified a number of possible hydro projects throughout the province of British Columbia. They are segmented into 7 geographic areas with a combined total of twenty five (25) unique water license applications. The projects may be developed in clusters that could share a single transmission line, reducing overall construction costs.
Maselpanik
Maselpanik Creek is located 35 km south of Hope, British Columbia, in the Skagit Range of the Canadian Cascade Mountains. Maselpanik will generate a total estimated capacity of 13 MW with estimated annual electricity generation of approximately 63 GWh of energy and may be considered for submission to the BC Hydro Standing Offer Program.
Chilliwack
The Chilliwack Valley Cluster contains 2 accepted water license applications. This project is estimated to have a generation capacity of approximately 8 MW with estimated annual electricity generation of approximately 40GWh of energy. These projects are located in the Chilliwack Valley between Sardis and Hope.
Anderson
The Anderson cluster contains 3 accepted water license applications. This cluster is estimated to have an aggregate generation capacity of approximately 13 MW with estimated annual electricity generation of approximately 63 GWh of energy. These projects are located between the cities of Vancouver and Kamloops, British Columbia, approximately 12 kilometres from the transmission system.
Carpenter
The Carpenter cluster contains 4 accepted water license applications. This cluster is estimated to have an aggregate generation capacity of approximately 62 MW with estimated annual electricity generation of approximately 303 GWh of energy. These projects are located 160 kilometres east of the city of Kamloops, British Columbia.
Downton
The Downton cluster contains 4 accepted water license applications. This cluster is estimated to have an aggregate generation capacity of approximately 122 MW with estimated annual electricity generation of approximately 600 GWh of energy. These projects are located approximately 200 kilometres east of the city of Kamloops, British Columbia.
Glacier
The Glacier cluster contains 3 submitted water license applications. This cluster is estimated to have an aggregate generation capacity of approximately 23 MW with estimated annual electricity generation of approximately 110 GWh of energy. These projects are located within 20 kilometres of Stewart, British Columbia.
Marmot
The Marmot cluster contains 4 submitted water license applications. This cluster is estimated to have an aggregate generation capacity of approximately 57 MW with estimated annual electricity generation of approximately 278 GWh of energy. These projects are located within 10 kilometres south of Stewart, British Columbia.
