Development Projects

Syntaris Power has identified a number of possible hydro projects throughout the province of British Columbia. They are segmented into 7 geographic areas with a combined total of twenty seven (27) unique water license applications. The projects may be developed in clusters that could share a single transmission line, reducing overall construction costs.

Chilliwack

The Chilliwack Valley Cluster contains 2 accepted water license applications. This project is estimated to have a generation capacity of approximately 10 MW with estimated annual electricity generation of approximately 64 GWh of energy. These projects are located in the Chilliwack Valley between Sardis and Hope.

Anderson

The Anderson cluster contains 3 accepted water license applications. This cluster is estimated to have an aggregate generation capacity of approximately 30 MW with estimated annual electricity generation of approximately 100 GWh of energy. These projects are located between the cities of Vancouver and Kamloops, British Columbia, approximately 12 kilometres from the transmission system.

Ashwood

The Ashwood Cluster contains 7 submitted water license applications. This cluster is estimated to have an aggregate generation capacity of approximately 185 MW with estimated annual electricity generation of approximately 300 GWh of energy. These projects are located 23 kilometres south of Stewart, British Columbia.

Carpenter

The Carpenter cluster contains 4 accepted water license applications. This cluster is estimated to have an aggregate generation capacity of approximately 50 MW with estimated annual electricity generation of approximately 100 GWh of energy. These projects are located 160 kilometres east of the city of Kamloops, British Columbia.

Downton

The Downton cluster contains 4 accepted water license applications. This cluster is estimated to have an aggregate generation capacity of approximately 95 MW with estimated annual electricity generation of approximately 350 GWh of energy. These projects are located approximately 200 kilometres east of the city of Kamloops, British Columbia.

Glacier

The Glacier cluster contains 3 submitted water license applications. This cluster is estimated to have an aggregate generation capacity of approximately 25 MW with estimated annual electricity generation of approximately 100 GWh of energy. These projects are located within 20 kilometres of Stewart, British Columbia.

Marmot

The Marmot cluster contains 4 submitted water license applications. This cluster is estimated to have an aggregate generation capacity of approximately 75 MW with estimated annual electricity generation of approximately 275 GWh of energy. These projects are located within 10 kilometres south of Stewart, British Columbia.
