Kevin Boothroyd, V.P. Corporate Communications & Public Affairs

Kevin BoothroydMr. Boothroyd is responsible for branding, reputation management and stakeholder relations. A specialist in public-private partnerships, he has more than 18 years of senior executive management experience with Canadian and American-based companies. He is a former President of the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) Vancouver and past Director on the National Board of CPRS. In 1999, he received the prestigious Signature Award for Excellence in Communications from his professional peers. Prior to entering the PR profession, Mr. Boothroyd had a successful career in journalism.

Robert Fraser, President and Chief Executive Officer

Robert FraserMr. Fraser is responsible for developing the corporate vision, managing organizational structures and ensuring the successful development of projects that contribute to short and long-term financial stability at Syntaris Power. He has more than 15 years of experience running successful start-up companies including Galaxy Multimedia, Corinex Communications, and AlphaStream Wireless. Mr. Fraser was the National Marketing Manager at Dunn and Bradstreet Canada, a world leader in business information systems.

Bill Grossholz, Controller

Bill GrossholzMr. Grossholz is a Chartered Accountant with a strong financial management, administration, accounting and tax background. He was founder and Chief Financial Officer of a Vancouver-based real estate developer, with numerous developments in Canada and the U.S. and has held numerous senior financial management positions with a diverse range of companies in the telecommunications sector. Mr. Grossholz operated a successful Chartered Accountancy practice in Vancouver for 14 years and was a Senior Business Auditor for the Canada Revenue Agency for two years.

George Kahle, P. Eng. Director of Engineering

George KahleMr. Kahle is a mechanical engineer with more than 30 years of experience in engineering, project management and project development for power generation projects and other related industrial facilities in around the world. Mr. Kahle has held a number of senior positions including project manager/technical director, director of engineering and senior design engineer at several international energy developers. Prior to joining Syntaris Power Corp., Mr. Kahle served as technical director and project manager to IG Power Inc., Northland Power, CINergy (CG&E), Chyioda Corp. and others which specialized in the development and construction of power generation projects in Canada, the US and Europe.

Isaac Moss, Chief Financial Officer

Isaac MossMr. Moss has more than 25 years of senior level experience in international finance. Working with an investment banking advisory company in Geneva, Switzerland, he provided corporate, strategic and investment advisory services to client companies around the globe. Mr.Moss was also the President of a specialty chemical company headquartered in France.

Akemi Siu, B.Sc., Executive Director, Aboriginal Partnerships

s0059 Ms. Siu oversees the Aboriginal consultation and engagement process for independent power projects. She is also responsible for developing strategic alliances and corporate policy for Syntaris’ Aboriginal business partnerships. Ms. Siu has a Bachelor of Science from Simon Fraser University and over fifteen years experience with infrastructure management and development. For the past eight years she has consulted with First Nations and local communities on infrastructure projects throughout British Columbia. Ms. Siu is the former owner of a small business offering wastewater regulatory services to local industry in the Lower Mainland and served six years as BC Water and Wastewater Association Industrial Waste Committee Chairperson. She is a current member of the IPPBC First Nations committee.

Brent Waldie, P. Eng., Senior V.P. Operations

Brent WaldieMr. Waldie has more than 35 years of construction management and supervisory experience with transportation, energy and resource-based civil construction projects. His expertise includes on-site problem-solving for complex, high-end applications, and supply chain management. As president of Cameron Engineering Inc., he completed several international projects and was commissioned as the owner’s representative for the Rapid Transit 2000 Project (a collective contract value over $40 million). He also provided cost-estimating expertise for industrial projects ranging from $1 to $150 million.

James Ward, V.P. Investor Relations

James WardMr. Ward has more than 20 years experience in the sales and marketing departments of several national and international companies including Dunn and Bradstreet Canada, Gastown Productions, Key Colour Digital, Ikon Office Solutions, Quebecor World, echarge and HealthPricer Interactive. At these companies, he developed broad experience in customer and investor relations, international business development, corporate presentations and communications, brand development, marketing and sales management.

Michael Weiss, MBA, V.P. Finance

Michael WeissMr. Weiss develops financial models for all of Syntaris Power’s projects. He has a Bachelor of Commerce specializing in Utilities and Transportation and a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from the University of British Columbia. Mr. Weiss has been providing financial consulting services to the energy industry for more than 15 years.

Michael Wise P. Eng, M.B.A, V.P. Project Development

Michael WiseMr. Wise is a senior engineer with more than 15 years of project experience. His broad understanding of project development encompasses technical feasibility, regulatory and related environmental issues. His experience includes work on the permitting and design teams for Plutonic Power’s East Toba/Montrose projects and design and construction on several other run-of-river projects in B.C. He has considerable experience in project engineering for heavy civil construction of pipelines, fiber-optic lines, resource roads and transmission lines.
