Vancouver, British Columbia-Syntaris Power Corporation announced today it has obtained a Section 11 Order from the BC Environmental Assessment Office (EAO) for the Kinskuch Hydro Project, a run of river project with storage capability in northwestern BC. This Order establishes the formal scope, procedures and methods for carrying out the project’s environmental assessment. The Application Information Requirements, once approved, sets out in detail the environmental, socio-economic and other related studies that must be completed to obtain an environmental assessment certificate.
The Kinskuch Hydro Project is a renewable energy project being developed by Syntaris Power Corporation and expected to generate an estimated 76 MW of energy. The project proposal is currently under consideration in the 2008 BC Hydro Call for Clean Power. The Kinskuch River Project will connect to the existing 138kV BC Hydro line between Meziadin and New Aiyansh.
